Asbury Park Beaches

To access the beach, beach passes (badges or wristbands) must be worn at all times and will be checked on your way onto the sand. Beach passes are required on weekends and holidays only starting Saturday, 5/25/24 through Sunday, 6/16/24. Beach passes are required every day from Monday 6/17/24 through Monday, 9/2/24. Beach passes will not be required to access the beach starting Tuesday, 9/3/24. Based on weather and staffing availability, lifeguards may still be on duty after Labor Day Weekend.

2024 Season Beach Badge rates: Adults $70; Seniors (62+ with valid ID) $20; Teens (13-17) $20. 2024 Daily Beach Pass rates: Monday to Friday $6; Weekends and Holidays $10. Children 12 and under are free, but must be supervised by an adult. Active Military personnel and their dependents are free. Retired, disabled and non-active veterans are free.

Season beach badges go on sale starting 5/1/24 and can be purchased in person at the Beach Office (First Avenue on the Boardwalk) from 10am to 4pm daily. Season badges can also be purchased online at APBeachPasses.com and picked up at the Beach Office. Season beach badge sales will continue throughout the season.

Daily beach passes will go on sale Memorial Day Weekend and can be purchased in person at the Beach Office, at the 3rd and 7th Avenue Beach Booths, or at credit card kiosks along the Boardwalk. Daily beach passes can also be purchased online at APBeachPasses.com and scanned in at any beach entrance.

Playgrounds on the Boardwalk are free of charge and a beach pass is not required to access them. The playground at 7th Avenue is currently open. The new playground on 2nd Avenue is expected to be installed by Memorial Day weekend, weather and conditions permitting.

Please remember, tents, camping tents and canopies are not permitted on Asbury Park Beaches. Infant sun shades are permitted if smaller than 3ft high X 4ft wide X 4ft deep. Umbrellas with a central pole at 90 degrees in an upright position that are no larger than 6ft in diameter are permitted.

In an effort to keep our beaches clean, we strongly encourage beach-goers to do their part to help and always carry out what you carried in.
